Falling Behind...but not quitting

Falling Behind...but not quitting

There is a point in every journey, where a process goes from being “new and exciting” to actual work.

A new goal that is set, for example, involves taking new steps on a regular basis. Unfortunately, taking those new steps involves breaking old habits. (We can’t do everything, afterall)

When I set the lofty goal for myself of regularly writing blog posts, I set a target of 3 new posts per week. It should be easy for me to do, afterall, I’m a leader on social media and easily find daily topics to post on social media.

I’m not sure what it is about actually writing “blog posts” that I find to be more daunting than posting on social media. Those daily items that I discover and post on my Facebook or Twitter accounts are basically topics or observations that could become blog entries. Basically like an on-line diary.

For today, I’m just going to commit to a daily posting of whatever “makes the cut” on my other social media. I truly think I just need to create a series of brand new habits. Daily blogging will become an extension of my daily postings.

There is actually a positive energy here. As the title of this post suggests…even though I have “Fallen Behind”…I’m not QUITTING for the year.

I suppose in this way…I’m creating a big change in my typical habits, which will hopefully lead to more success.
