Being Remembered!
I'm finding it hard to believe that I've made another "trip around the sun"! I'm just a couple of days away from my 53rd birthday.
While 53 isn't a 'milestone' year, this past year has been a special kind of year for me. This has been a year of transition in my life. This past year has marked my first year as an "empty nester".
A little more than a year ago, my youngest child moved away to college. I wasn't exactly sure how the year would unfold for me, as I have always enjoyed the 'busy-ness" that comes from having active kids at home.
The good news is that I have survived this transitional year, and have even come to appreciate some of the times of solitude that come along with this new stage in life.
I appreciate my great friends...and was so blessed today to receive my very first birthday card this year from a special lady in my life. My golf league partner, Margo, who spends the chilly months in Florida with her husband, Dave.
As I start my next "trip around the Sun", I know I will continue to cherish those special relationships with people who remind me about the importance of "remembering" these occasions!
