This is such a beautiful time of the year. The maple trees that line the street in my neighborhood seem to take on different colors every single day.
I have a routine that typically starts in late September, where I stop at the end of my driveway and take a few pictures of the tree immediately in front of my house. There's something incredible in these images, and especially in comparing these leaves and branches from week to week; and month to month.
The colors never quite change at the same rate, nor do the colors seem to ever completely "match". Almost like the uniqueness of snowflakes, or fingerprints.
The beauty of these fall colors comes with the reminder that soon all of these leaves will fall from the tree; and the branches will be bare.
Then...we wait.
Through the wind and snow and cold of winter.
For the Springtime that will again bring these beautiful branches to life.
